We arrived in Belfast tired and jet lagged. Our hotel reservations were in Limerick and we had train reservations from Limerick to Dublin the next day. All rubbish now as we bravely waited in line for immigration.

As we took our first steps in the United Kingdom for many a year, a spontaneous clamor for coffee arose from the bedraggled, but curiously excited crowd. We wisely stopped for coffee and a family conference.

Soon Sarah was on the line cancelling the hotel reservations, Bonnie was over at the tourist information booth getting a room for the night, I was cancelling train reservations, Chris was tuning up his Irish accent and we were getting some good advice from the TI lady to take a taxi to Belfast. After all it was the same price!

The little video below shows a bit of Northern Ireland and Belfast.

One comment made by the taxi driver that didn't make it to the video. After we had passed the area where the Titanic was built, the driver said "The Irish build'em, the British sink'em".
