We have changed our dog’s name.
Now this may seem cruel to many, after all he is 15, but he is mostly deaf. And the occasional command that does penetrate is studiously ignored. This is further tempered by the fact that we frequently forget the renaming and call him by his original name, only to be ignored.So, although we feel like servants in the pantry giggling at the antics of the master, he is now known as Mr. Hackenkof.
Such are the rigors of retirement.
